I'm Michelle, a Product Designer + Digital Anthropologist who crafts digital products and experiences through the lenses of empathy and behavioral psychology, backed by user research and observation, and gracefully topped off with delightful interactions and modern UI.
Having grown up in a design-oriented household with a web designer mother, one of the few in the late 1990s, design-thinking has shaped and cultivated my passion for creative innovations and project solving. I hope to combine my three loves — design, technology and culture — to create meaningful digital products which allow for free forms of individual self expression.
Empathy is my strong suit, and I love designing digital products which not only solve everyday problems but create truly empathic experiences for each user. While I have designed for a wide range of tech sectors — my interests lie primarily in IoT, data analytics and health + wellness. I'm also an absolute nut for immersive art created through mediums of virtual and augmented reality.
Outside of Design...
When I'm not working on my craft, you will likely find me hidden in a nook of a coffee shop, sippin' on java while reading or writing with musical theatre cast recordings secretly booming in my headphones. I have a wide array of interests — I am a sucker for live music, an avid lover of dogs, as well as a diehard football fan. I love meeting new people and am always finding new ways to do so. Thankfully, San Francisco provides me with plenty of bizarre and unique opportunities to connect with many creatives and authentic souls.
Oh — and on Tuesdays, I Salon.
